Survey shows public split on tenant fees

A new survey shows public opinion split on tenant fees – with half saying none should be paid at all and others little more than a minimum fee.

With the fee ban back in the spotlight as the election campaign heats up, property marketplace TheHouseShop has commissioned YouGov research to provide insight into public opinion on the issue.

The results reveal a near 50/50 split – with just over half of respondents saying tenants shouldn’t have to pay any admin fees to secure a property and the rest favouring little more than a minimum fee.
