Hybrid sales and lettings portal TheHouseShop has begun listing its rental properties on Facebook’s Marketplace platform, the third to do so after Zoopla and OnTheMarket.

The company says it is an opportunity for agents who sign up to its service to list their rental properties for free on Facebook.

TheHouseShop does not charge agents to be on its platform or receive leads and instead it up-sells 30 different services including photography, EPCs and viewings, claiming it is popular with smaller agents who can’t afford to list with more than one portal.

Unlike Rightmove, Zoopla and OTM, TheHouseShop accepts listings from both home owners, landlords and agents, and verifies its landlords via a Land Registry ownership check to prevent fraudulent ads
