But with over 145 individual laws and more than 400 regulations to follow, it\u2019s surprisingly easy for even the most well-meaning landlord to end up breaking the law.<\/p>\n<p>New research from property marketplace,<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehouseshop.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.thehouseshop.com&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1536230111265000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGKuz-9zOUhXUGSin5_uwZUjcxkUA\">TheHouseShop.com<\/a>, has shed light on the scale of the challenge that landlords face, and how they are dealing with the increasingly complex issue of compliance.<\/p>\n<p>Shockingly, almost 1 in 5 landlords (18.2%) said they find it \u201cimpossible\u201d to keep up with constant regulation changes &#8211; with a further 30% (29.9%) saying they find it \u201cvery difficult\u201d and another 30% (31.2%) finding it \u201cquite difficult\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><span><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-17999\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thehouseshop.com\/property-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/landlord-survey-results-chart.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"490\" height=\"314\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The results clearly show that landlords are being overwhelmed by the sheer volume and complexity of rules and regulations in the rental market.
