Connolly put the 17th century estate up for sale last September and a sale was concluded in May.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\">A source said: The sale went through in the last couple of weeks and the new owner is delighted. It is a wrench for the Connollys to let go of the property but they are now permanently based in New York and have been spending less and less time there.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Billy and Pamela have often said that he is at his happiest when he is there. It is sad for them but they are content it is going to good hands.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Connolly, 71, bought Candacraig House from Body Shop founder Anita Roddick for \u00a3590,000 16 years ago.
