Nowadays, it is most famous for being the main hub of London&#8217;s Bangladeshi community, gaining it the nickname &#8220;Banglatown&#8221;. There are thus plenty of curry houses to be found in the area, including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nazrulbricklane.co.uk\/\">Nazrul<\/a>, the Lanes oldest restaurant, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shebabricklane.com\/\">Sheba<\/a>, voted &#8220;Best Curry House in the UK&#8221; by Cobra Good Curry Guide, and the critically-acclaimed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cinnamonbricklane.co.uk\/\">Cinnamon<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">On weekends, one can visit the Truman Markets, which can be found in the Old Truman Brewery situated around the Lane&#8217;s northern area. It is made up of five markets with different opening times, all promising intriguing and unique wares. From the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sundayupmarket.co.uk\/\">Sunday UpMarket<\/a> with its art and homemade foods (open 10am to 5pm Sundays), to The Tea Rooms, which offer a wide range of antiques as well as a nice coffee (open 11am to 6pm Saturdays and 10am to 5pm Sundays), these <a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\" title=\"Market (economics)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thehouseshop.com\/property-blog\/market-economics\/\" data-id=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0502\/entity\/market_economics;http:\/\/dbpedia.org\/resource\/Market_(economics)\" >markets<\/a> offer something for everyone at a good price. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trumanbrewery.com\/\">The Truman Brewery<\/a> also offers plenty of treats all week round, including Europe&#8217;s largest record store <a href=\"http:\/\/www.roughtrade.com\/\">Rough Trade<\/a>\u00a0and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stolenspace.com\/\">Stolen Space Gallery<\/a>. Another attraction of the Truman Brewery is 93 Feet East, a bar and live music venue, popular with the young artistic crowd found in the area (open Thursdays 5pm-11pm, Friday-Saturday 5pm-1am, and Sundays 2pm-10.30pm).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Art fans will not only appreciate the aforementioned Stolen Space Gallery and The Brick Lane Gallery, but the <a href=\"http:\/\/inspiringcity.com\/2013\/05\/11\/a-street-art-tour-of-brick-lane-in-london\/\">street art as well<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">The Brick Lane area offers a variety of flats and\u00a0apartments, generally costing around \u00a3500,000 (though it is rare to\u00a0find a whole <a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\" title=\"houses\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thehouseshop.com\/property-blog\/house\/\" data-id=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0502\/entity\/house;http:\/\/rdf.freebase.com\/ns\/m.03jm5;http:\/\/dbpedia.org\/resource\/House\" >house<\/a> for under \u00a31 million).
