Having worked my way up from the 20&#8217;s, I have to admit that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2013\/10\/31\/1980s-ugliest-decade_n_4179811.html\">the 80&#8217;s has to be the <i>least<\/i> attractive decade for interior design<\/a> that I have faced so far &#8211; all those pastel colour schemes. That said it had its&#8217; good features alongside the bad &#8211; all that chintz! &#8211; and for the benefit of those reading this who adore 80&#8217;s interior design I shall try to refrain from too much negativity. So much floral!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span size=\"3\" style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span size=\"3\" style=\"font-size: medium;\">I&#8217;ve come to notice that there are almost two distinct styles from the 80&#8217;s. The 60&#8217;s and 70&#8217;s brought so much fun to the living space, so much colour and vitality and exuberance. Somehow we went from futuristic furniture and abstract art to living at your grandma&#8217;s <a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\" title=\"houses\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thehouseshop.com\/property-blog\/house\/\" data-id=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0502\/entity\/house;http:\/\/rdf.freebase.com\/ns\/m.03jm5;http:\/\/dbpedia.org\/resource\/House\" >house<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span size=\"3\" style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><b><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span size=\"3\" style=\"font-size: medium;\">Common Features<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span size=\"3\" style=\"font-size: medium;\">I won&#8217;t mention the famous three again or I&#8217;ll have used them as much as the 80&#8217;s did. <a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\" title=\"homes\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thehouseshop.com\/property-blog\/home\/\" data-id=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0502\/entity\/home;http:\/\/rdf.freebase.com\/ns\/m.01l0mw;http:\/\/dbpedia.org\/resource\/Home\" >Home<\/a>-offices, or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2013\/10\/31\/1980s-ugliest-decade_n_4179811.html\">conference room chic<\/a>, became popular with office-style furniture being implemented in the home. Glass-topped dining tables add an element of sophistication and class, I believe, and white laminate cabinets were very popular. Pairing it with a bright coloured countertop is a great way to add some personality to your kitchen.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span size=\"3\" style=\"font-size: medium;\">For an example of a really well done 80&#8217;s style home <a href=\"http:\/\/curbed.com\/archives\/2012\/06\/12\/here-now-a-comprehensive-tour-of-1980s-interior-design.php\">checkout this Tucson abode<\/a>.
