Unfortunately, this pause, for tenants, may only be temporary.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith more amateur <a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\" title=\"Landlord\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thehouseshop.com\/property-blog\/landlord\/\" data-id=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0502\/entity\/landlord;http:\/\/rdf.freebase.com\/ns\/m.02mx_6;http:\/\/dbpedia.org\/resource\/Landlord\" >landlords<\/a> exiting the rental market and increasing restrictions on <a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\" title=\"buy-to-let\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thehouseshop.com\/property-blog\/buy-to-let\/\" data-id=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl0502\/entity\/buy_to_let;http:\/\/rdf.freebase.com\/ns\/m.083ycg;http:\/\/dbpedia.org\/resource\/Buy_to_let\" >buy to let<\/a> means there will be a drop in supply despite a growing population. increasing as confidence grows with strong growth being reported in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehouseshop.com\/property-to-rent?listing-type=rental&amp;autocomplete-selection=272&amp;search=Wandsworth+London+Boro%2C+Greater+London&amp;price-min=&amp;price-max=&amp;bedrooms=&amp;radius=1&amp;sort-by=most-recent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wandsworth<\/a> and East London\u2019s &#8216;trendy parts&#8217;.<\/p>\n<h2>Demand for rental properties is strong<\/h2>\n<p>They say that demand for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehouseshop.com\/property-to-rent\" title=\"rental properties\">rental properties<\/a> is strong in Bayswater, Notting Hill, Kensal Rise and Queen&#8217;s Park where tenants can find comparative value in large family homes.<\/p>\n<p>Substantial growth has also been reported in North London, particularly in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehouseshop.com\/property-to-rent?autocomplete-selection=31595&amp;search=Golders+Green%2C+Greater+London&amp;price-min=&amp;price-max=&amp;bedrooms=&amp;type-of-property=&amp;sort-by=most-recent&amp;items-per-page=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Golders Green<\/a>, Colindale and Hampstead Garden Suburb and there&#8217;s been a big growth in rental demand for the area close to the Tottenham Court Road \u2018s Northern Line interchange <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehouseshop.com\/elizabeth-line\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">which had been closed for Crossrail works<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, the rental slowdown is not just being experienced in London, according to Rightmove who say that buy to let investors across the UK are being put off from buying property by rising stamp duty costs.<\/p>\n<p>According to the estate agency, interest in buy to let properties from investors dropped by 27% last month, compared to the same month last year.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>That fall is seen
