According to reports in The Sunday Mirror It seems that David and Victoria Beckham have looked closely at their finances and come to a decision to sell their UK house. The huge luxury mansion which was hardly ever being used by the family has become surplus to requirements.
Los Angeles has now become the Beckhams home and the children Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, five are all settled and speak with American accents.
Reports suggest that estate agents have been to view the Beckhams home dubbed Beckingham Palace located in Sawbridgeworth, Herts.
They recently hired accountants to analyse their spending and, with other homes in LA, Dubai and France, they decided they no longer wanted to pay the UK home’s running costs.
The Beckhams bought the home for a snip at £2.5 million and it has been valued at £18 million so they stand to make a substantial profit when sold.
The Beckhams – worth £115million plan to buy a townhouse in central London – either in Chelsea, Knightsbridge or Belgravia the London property will serve the couple as UK base. They have put aside £6 million for the property and hired professional property scouts to find them a chic London House.

A spokeswoman for the Beckhams said: “We can confirm David and Victoria have had their UK home valued.”
