Who doesn’t love a good market? Whether its flower markets in the middle of Shoreditch or Camdens cool fashions, markets are the place to be for the best deals and unique buys. In the UK markets are always a hit, with many towns hosting them regularly. In Middlewich, a new Makers Market launched this year bringing together the finest and often award winning food, drink, art and craft producers in the area. The food aspect of the market is the most exceptional with the very best of local farm produce – everything from breads to cheeses. It’s exceptional because of the passion- you yourself can meet the specialists who source, grow and craft the products they sell. Every market needs live performances and the makers market is no exception with its amazing local music. With its huge success already this year its clear this market is going to go from strength to strength. Its unique, original and designed to inspire goods speak for themselves, bringing the community together and aiding local businesses. The next market will be held on Saturday 30th August 2014.

Middlewich is a prime example that community spirit is not dying. A Middlewich Good Neighbours group was set up to allow people to share their time and skills to help one another and they will soon be holding a celebratory event to share what the group has achieved so far. Not only was the market a success but the first ever Middlewich Food and Drinks Festival went down a treat and even featured a demonstration from celebrity chef David Mooney, attracting a big crowd. The event was so successful that the Middlewich Town Mayor, Clr Paul Edwards, is keen to see the Food and Drink festival become an annual event.

The markets and Food and Drink festivals demonstrate that the Middlewich community is lively  exciting and engaging. Recently, it has also been announced that Middlewich are to host their very first music festival. With the use of only local resources and businesses the importance of residents coming together and supporting each other is key. Without the efforts of generous and enthusiastic residents and business owners, none of these fabulous events would be possible. Lets hope the music festival is just as successful as the Makers Market and the Food and Drink festival. Who knows what other exciting events are going to stem from a brilliant town and community!

This wonderful town brings us to a wonderful family friendly 4-bedroom detached house for sale with a front and large rear garden. Close to town and located on a popular development, viewing this property is highly recommended!
